Laboratory Analyst I - Soda Springs, Idaho

This role offers a dynamic laboratory environment where you will support quality control, process development, and customer requirements while working independently across a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays. Responsibilities and Tasks
Perform routine testing in the quality laboratory, providing analytical data for process control, quality control, and process development. Independently manage an ever‑changing sample load while collaborating with a team to meet customer requirements. Comply with regulatory good laboratory practices and use protocols and work instructions. Prepare solutions, clean glassware, dispose of solid/liquid waste, and support overall laboratory operations. Train colleagues in waste management and safety practices. Alert lab leadership of issues or discrepancies involving sample integrity, inventory, safety, or analysis irregularities. Communicate troubleshooting opportunities in testing processes and identify operational issues with instruments and equipment. Maintain and operate Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Chromatography Data System (CDS), and other instrument‑specific computer systems. Search databases for test methods, specifications, and standards to complete analyses. Promptly record, calculate, and report analytical results; review data and LIMS reports; discuss issues with team members and supervisors. Complete data entry for metrics and KPIs, identify process improvement ideas, and assist in continuous improvement projects. Communicate results to customers as required and support customer‑focused decision making. Notify leadership when supplies/consumables reach critical levels; observe safety and housekeeping best practices. Participate in lab/site safety programs and cross‑site initiatives. Be knowledgeable of RCRA hazardous waste regulations, waste determinations, waste codes, and promptly report spills and leaks. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred Qualifications
At least two years of laboratory experience OR an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or higher degree. Strong oral and written communication skills. High attention to detail and analytical aptitude. Ability to multi‑task and prioritize workload to optimize efficiency and productivity. Posting is available until November 11, 2025.
