Job Summary
Fort Valley State University, a land‑grant institution in the University System of Georgia, invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor–Chemistry. The faculty member will prepare and teach undergraduate-level Chemistry courses and labs in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Science, and other courses as needed, in in‑person, hybrid, and/or online modalities.
Duties / Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate level Chemistry and related courses and labs in an in‑person, online, or hybrid format.
Teach courses as assigned by the Department Chair and maintain University policies.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
Ability to successfully pass a background check.
Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills and teamwork.
2‑3 years of experience at the University level.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience teaching General Chemistry I and/or II, Principles of Chemistry I and/or II, Organic Chemistry I and/or II, Biochemistry, and their associated labs.
