Under the supervision of Pathologists and Pathologists’ Assistants, provides technical support in the Mohs Dermatology Laboratory, frozen section area, processes of simple, noncomplex biopsy specimens, and assists in postmortem examinations. Starting annual salary is $75,959. Qualifications

Required Education and Experience License to practice as a Certified Histological Technician, Clinical Laboratory Technician, Histotechnologist, or Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or Eligibility for licensure as a Certified Histological Technician, Clinical Laboratory Technician, Histotechnologist, or Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Histological, Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related discipline and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time pathology laboratory experience including the performance of frozen section or grossing biopsy specimens; or Associate’s degree in Histological, Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related discipline and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time pathology laboratory experience including the performance of frozen section or grossing biopsy specimens. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain the required licensure within six (6) months of their appointment to this title. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
