Ultrasound Technologist at MUSC Health. Performs ultrasound procedures at the entry level requiring knowledge of anatomical positioning and physiology. Perform ultrasound procedures at the entry level with knowledge of anatomical positioning and physiology. Obtain high quality ultrasound examinations suitable for interpretation by a physician. Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or ARRT (S) required at the time of employment. One year experience in performing ultrasound diagnostic procedures preferred. Or graduation from a non-accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Must be registered with ARRT(S) at time of employment. ARDMS certification preferred. Experience preferred. All applicants must have completed the SPI exam prior to hire date. Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Work Experience: 1 year of modality-specific experience preferred. Registration/Certification: ARDMS or ARRT(S) eligible; certification must be obtained within 12 months. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Certifications & Requirements
BP/CPR: Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) or equivalent. Ability to meet physical requirements as listed in the job description (standing, lifting, reaching, bending, fine motor skills, etc.). Work Details
