The person in this position will be responsible for providing direct clinical and treatment supervision and training to counseling staff. Essential job functions include those listed below. Essential Job Functions:

Provide daily supervision of counselors assigned to the program. Monitor adherence to the policies and procedures of the program. Conduct monthly quality assurance reviews of treatment case files to ensure compliance with standards. Facilitate groups, family groups, and assist clients. Fill in for counselors during their unavailability due to illness, training, etc. Deliver individual and group counseling, case management, education, community outreach, and referrals. Oversee intake and program orientation, including assessment and development of Individual Treatment Plans. Assist with data collection, statistical reporting, and complete Quality Improvement reports. Maintain relationships with referring agencies and represent the agency at community meetings. Facilitate ancillary services such as family support and education groups, and develop referral resources. Supervise maintenance of client treatment files, including documentation of activities. Provide general client supervision and plan therapeutic activities. Prepare client progress reports as needed. Interact with the criminal justice system and referral sources as necessary. Embody the mission, vision, and guiding principles of WestCare Foundation. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

Certifications/Licenses: Clinical Certification: must hold a certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (IAODAPCA), or be a licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical professional counselor, physician, or psychologist, or licensed social worker. Training: If licensed as CADC, must complete 40 hours of continuing education biennially; other licensure requires ongoing education as per requirements. Education:

Masters or bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required. Experience and Competencies:

Two years of experience in alcohol and substance abuse counseling. Experience with intake and assessment preferred. Bilingual skills preferred. Knowledge of the criminal justice system. Highly organized, detail-oriented, with excellent time management. Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to pass background checks, obtain OIG LEIE clearance, and pass pre-employment drug screening. Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion, work well in a team, and maintain confidentiality. Working Conditions:

Primarily in an institutional setting, with some outdoor activities. Physical and Mental Demands:

Must perform essential duties with or without accommodations, including mobility, talking, hearing, seeing, and managing stressful or emotionally charged situations.
