Job Overview
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities
The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, in collaboration with the physicians and interdisciplinary team, is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and evaluating patients in a critical care setting. Services provided by the NP include: Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of identified health needs; Ordering and interpretation of diagnostic and/or laboratory tests; Formulating, documenting, and monitoring treatment plans; Routine wound or post-operative dressing management; Ordering interdisciplinary consults; Ordering pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies and/or interventions. This position will work 4 - 10 hour shifts, Monday - Friday (no weekends). Qualifications
Education : RN in state of practice Experience : Two years' RN experience required, two years' Pediatric RN experience preferred. About the Company
