Job Summary Works directly with the Slot Performance Team to install, maintain, and repair all Casino-related equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities No Supervisory Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities

Performs maintenance and repair of slot machines, slot machine parts, and other gaming related equipment

Responsible for installation, movement, and removal of gaming related equipment

Perform all types of diagnostics and repairs to correct mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures to the board level. Read and identify components within schematics.

Operate hand tools, electrical test equipment, and other equipment as needed.

Perform slot machine RAM clears/key chip and set-up of options as needed.

Respond to repair and troubleshooting requests from slot operations and other departments

Communicates and coordinates activities with various departments, state agencies, and vendors.

Maintains a constant awareness of services, promotions, and events offered by Rivers Casino Portsmouth and informs guests

Maintain knowledge of and ensure full compliance of state or internal regulations

Maintains proper gaming logs in order to comply with state or internal regulations

Ensures the safety and security of all guests and team members

Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.

Ability to communicate in English verbally and in written format with Team members and guests

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process

A thorough knowledge of repair and maintenance procedures, slot machine installation, table games equipment repair, and maintenance.

A thorough knowledge of casino management systems

Ability to consistently work with hand tools and electrical equipment.

Ability to operate a personal computer system.

The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.

The ability to interpret and follow instructions from technical manuals.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older

High school diploma or equivalent

1-2 years of experience in maintenance or repair experience

Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations

Gaming license/registration as required by the Virginia Lottery.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust

Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with assistance.

Ability to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
