Borinquen Medical Center . The Speech/Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and administering treatment modalities as prescribed by physicians to restore or improve patients' communication and swallowing functions. Responsibilities
Perform patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document all activities accurately in medical records. Conduct patient and family education, addressing psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs, and involve them in care planning. Collaborate with healthcare team members, communicate progress, and modify treatment as needed. Perform specialized evaluations such as swallowing assessments and coordinate care to meet patient needs while adhering to departmental policies. Participate in performance improvement, infection control, safety, and educational activities, ensuring personal competency and departmental standards. Manage administrative duties including scheduling and contributing to departmental reports and budget considerations. Must hold a Master\'s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, be licensed in Kentucky, and preferably have geriatric experience. Require good interpersonal skills, basic computer proficiency, and physical ability to perform necessary activities, including occasional lifting. Work full-time on a Monday-Friday schedule, with some weekend shifts, in person at the Ironton, OH location, requiring relocation if necessary. Qualifications
Master\'s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Current licensure in Kentucky. Geriatric experience preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, computer proficiency, and physical ability to perform required activities. Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday, with some weekend shifts; in-person at Ironton, OH; relocation may be required. Additional information
