Responsibilities
Demonstrate proficiency in the performance of all diagnostic and fluoroscopic examinations and equipment. Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of pediatric immobilization devices adhering to safety precautions. Prepare or enter written documentation as required by the Department (e.g., informed patient consent, patient chart documentation, and other related duties). Perform portable and operating room examinations in a timely and professional manner, observing sterile and aseptic techniques when necessary. Check equipment, supplies and accessories on a regular basis. Assess the physical needs of adult and geriatric patients; recognize and address patients' fears and apprehensions about exams. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of work areas; complete requested examinations in a timely manner while observing radiation safety standards. Address the special needs of each age group served and assist in making reasonable accommodations for hearing impaired or physically challenged patients. Observe bio-safety and radiation safety rules and regulations. Adhere to established hospital/department policies and procedures and promote patient confidence and trust; capable of working independently/unsupervised. Perform related duties in PACS; duties may be added, changed, or deleted at any time by the Assistant Director or Director of Radiology. Qualifications
Work 3 10-hour shifts High School Graduate or equivalent required Graduate of a program in Radiologic Technology NYSDOH License Required ARRT Required Computer knowledge preferred Special Notes
