The role involves start-up and commissioning of projects, preventative maintenance, and basic submersible wastewater pump (Flygt) and control panel troubleshooting at customer sites. Product-specific training will be provided. The role will interact with customers.
Responsibilities
Evaluate, repair, and conduct hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps Basic troubleshooting of electrical control panels Read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams Assist with start-ups and emergency callouts Operate and maintain a service truck with crane and out-riggers Operate industrial equipment in a shop environment (e.g., forklift, overhead cranes) Use various Company-provided hand and power tools Accurately record information in Xylem’s work order management system Create and maintain a safe, organized working environment and follow protocols at customer locations Care for company property Demonstrate High Impact Culture through innovation, accountability and empowerment Work effectively in a team; may work under direct supervision or independently as needed
Travel
Some travel required (overnight stays, away from home)

Qualifications
Education
HS diploma or equivalent Experience
0 to 2 years of technical work experience, 1 year preferred Skills
Electrically and mechanically inclined Critical thinking and troubleshooting ability Ability to comprehend technical information and communicate it clearly Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices
Day in the Life
The working environment is an industrial shop setting where PPE is required. May involve exposure to hazardous materials and loud noises. Physical demands include standing and lifting up to 50 lb. Overtime and travel may be required for training sessions.
