Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Documentation:
Organize and update drawings, specifications, and agency standards to ensure seamless project workflows.
Component Redesign:
Innovate and redesign components aimed at cost reduction and enhancing assembly efficiency.
Product Development:
Engage in design work including the adaptation of recent concepts into new size machines, lab builds of full-size prototypes, and introduction of new designs to the manufacturing team.
3D Part Design:
Create detailed 3D models, work with CAD designers, and assist in the design and introduction of new product designs across all large products.
Change Notification & BOM:
Learn and utilize the change notification system as well as the Bill of Materials (BOM).
Launch New Products:
Assist in the product development system, part design, concept development, and market launch of new products.
Field & External Lab Testing:
Take part in some field testing and external lab testing.
Prototype Testing:
Procure new parts, test fit new manufactured parts in the Lab, troubleshoot design issues, and anticipate assembly issues for redesigns before release.
Qualifications What We’re Looking For:
Strong Communicator:
Excellent written and oral communication skills. A true team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Educational Background:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Some experience with 3D modeling in either Creo or SolidWorks.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods, stand, use manual dexterity, stoop, bend, and perform minimal lifting.
