Responsibilities
Connecting columns, beams, and girders with bolts or welding them into place
Reinforcing/tying rebar in concrete construction
Unloading and stacking prefabricated steel
Using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment to cut, bend, and weld steel
Placing and setting heavy machinery
Erecting and/or dismantling structural steel frames of structures
Operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to lift steel columns, beams, and girders according to blueprints.
Working at heights and from aerial work platforms.
Rigging structural‑steel members to hoist cables using chains, cables, or rope
Qualifications
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in commercial construction, preferred
Proficient in industry tools and equipment, such as hand and power tools and welding devices
OSHA 10, preferred
Operator's certificate, preferred
Detail‑oriented, well‑organized, and able to multi‑task
Task‑oriented, reliable, and committed to meeting deadlines
Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible availability, including some overtime, weekends, and night shifts
Able to lift at least 35 pounds, unassisted, and stand for extended periods
