Overview

Technician I Wind Turbine at Primoris Services Corporation. This position is responsible for daily operations and maintenance of wind turbines and will require an extensive travel schedule throughout the US. The role emphasizes a safety-first approach and doing the job right the first time. Primary Job Responsibilities

Promote and comply with all company and safety policies and procedures. Work in and around wind turbines; climb multiple wind towers on a daily basis. Interact professionally with customers and coworkers daily. Demonstrate safety as a top priority. Install, inspect, maintain, operate, and repair wind turbines. Diagnose and fix problems that could cause turbine shutdowns or improper operation. Test electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems; troubleshoot malfunctions. Service underground transmission systems, wind field substations, or fiber optic sensing and control systems. Replace worn or malfunctioning components. Perform routine maintenance on wind turbines. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent. Active Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) or ability to obtain TWIC. Technical 2- or 4-year degree or certificate in wind energy or related field preferred. Minimum one (1) year of experience working in and around wind turbines, specifically for troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, or wind energy degree/certificate. Experience using basic power and hydraulic tools. Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred). Preferred Skills/Abilities

Commitment to health and safety and Zero Injury principles. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, reports, and manuals. Effective communication with managers, clients, and the public. Basic math skills; ability to work with measurements and units. Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions. Problem-solving with multiple variables in standardized situations. Knowledge of hydraulic tension and torque tooling; rotor locking procedures; internal chain hoist. Strong attention to detail and precise execution. Basic computer skills and familiarity with internet-based programs. Ability to read and understand basic drawings and schematics. Ability to climb stairs and ladders up to 125 meters in height. Ability to work in demanding physical and inclement weather conditions. Maintain required certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR, Tower Climb and Rescue, LOTO, Arc Flash). Demonstrate basic industrial safety practices and LOTO. Comfort working remotely in a turbine as part of a team with limited supervision. Physical Requirements

Compliance with client safety requirements (e.g., PPE, clothing). Ability to pass a physical exam if required. Climb and balance on ladders, scaffolding, and stairways. Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work at heights or in confined spaces. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (use assistance for heavier loads). Stand or walk for extended periods on uneven surfaces. Ability to wear a respirator and other PPE when required. Work Location

Industrial construction sites and/or fabrication shops. Mobility & Environmental Conditions

Uneven ground and obstructed pathways; work at low/high elevations; confined spaces. Predominantly outdoor work with exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, rain, and other weather conditions; loud noise from tools and machinery; potential chemical exposure. Seniority level
