Mechanical Engineer

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Recommends design modifications. Responsible for HVAC and Plumbing equipment selection and design. Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. Value engineering assistance on design-assist and plan-spec projects. Perform heating and cooling load calculations, heat transfer, fluids analysis, pressure calculations, and equipment selections. Apply knowledge of standards, codes, regulations, and industry best practices to designs. Creation of code-compliant bid/construction/permit documents for Design Build projects. Systems evaluations, analysis and reporting, including energy analysis and life cycle cost analysis. Manage multiple concurrent projects to meet project milestones and deliverables. Develop, create, and maintain client relationships with clients. Work with clients, owners, and other design professionals to ensure project scope, requirements, and budgetary parameters and desired outcomes are accurately reflected in proposals and design documentation. Attends Project meetings as needed. Conducts job-site visits and Pre-Bids as needed. Attends job turnover meetings. Works with Estimation Team. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications And Experience

Minimum 5 years of Design experience. 2 or more years’ experience in plumbing, hydronics and mechanicals. Licensed PE. Job Skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel. Detail oriented. Strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Education

Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent is preferred. Special Requirements

Valid Driver’s License.
