About The Role RIC seeks a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Missouri to work with our team of professional surveyors, field surveyors, and survey technicians across the Midwest. The role involves planning, scheduling, and executing survey projects, applying sound survey principles, approving field measurements, and preparing survey documents.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage projects with clients and survey crews.
Assist crew members with computations and data collection using field equipment.
Communicate with on‑site supervisors and/or clients.
Work with land development plans and construction stakeout computations.
Manage electronic data and notes from survey crews.
Perform assigned tasks with minimal oversight.
Interact professionally with clients.
Prepare studies, reports, presentations, design documents, and construction documents.
Prepare grading plans, landscape designs, land development site plans, and subdivisions.
Design landscape elements such as buffers, rain gardens, streetscapes.
Coordinate with internal team, project members, and external client personnel.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical school, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Missouri.
At least 5 years of combined field and office experience in a land surveying office.
Experience with Robotic Total Stations & GPS; LiDAR units a plus.
Knowledge of DOT, boundary, topographic and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
Drafter experience for topographic surveys and legal descriptions.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D; MicroStation and Geopak a plus.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organization, time, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Prioritization, multitasking, and fast‑paced work environment capability.
Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and safety focused.
Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to job sites and stand ~50% of the day.
Willingness to work in office and out in the field.
