The brand-new research facility in Milwaukee consists of state-of-the-art laboratories, collaborative workspaces and a supportive environment to empower our team to push technology limits. Primary Function

We provide hands-on experience to fit your career objectives, complement your academic work, and enhance your learning. This role offers co-op students who are passionate about material selection and design, metallurgy, and hands-on experience under the leadership of senior researchers and engineers. Responsibilities
Assist in the development of alternative materials for water heaters and water treatment. Run and analyze experiments to test materials and processes. Metallographic preparation and analysis of various metals. Mechanical testing and analysis of materials. Assist/conduct failure analyses of product components. Assist in the development of new joining processes. Provide technical assistance on materials and related process issues when requested. Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university for Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of sophomore standing and the ability to co-op for at least 3 terms. Minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in major-related coursework. Conscientious and dependable, with the ability to work on small teams as well as independently. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency with personal computers and MS Office (Word, Excel, etc). A sincere interest in materials/metallurgical engineering. Education
