Overview

Engineer II role at Parker Hannifin. This entry level engineering position provides technical support and testing support for division products, with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a solid foundation in engineering principles. The position is intended to develop skills and lead into a product engineering role. Responsibilities

Assist in the design, development, and improvement of products and processes under the guidance of the engineering team Conduct routine analyses and/or tests to evaluate product designs, methods, materials or processes and complete required technical documentation by applying engineering principles and company standards, generating reports, procedures, or change proposals as required Identify and solve equipment, product, or system issues using both theoretical and practical knowledge Work with production, quality, and maintenance to ensure proper implementation of technical solutions Attend technical training sessions and progress meetings to enhance skills and contribute to project advancement Identify opportunities for process or product improvements and propose ideas to optimize efficiency and quality Monitor multiple projects supporting business improvement projects or new product development projects Coordinate prototype builds as necessary to support customer opportunities and business improvement projects Work with engineers to review test requirements and test setups Other responsibilities as assigned or needed Qualifications

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline Working knowledge of engineering domain principles, concepts, and techniques with the ability to apply a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving Basic understanding of hydraulic components or hydraulic systems or test apparatus Preferred deep knowledge and understanding of hydraulic components, circuits, schematics, and test procedures Strong hands-on skills such as equipment disassembly, reassembly, and building of test equipment / setups / fixtures Solid foundation in business communication tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Sound decision making, results driven, and focused on process improvement Ability to communicate with / between engineers and lab technicians, and work towards a collaborative team Equal Employment Opportunity
