This opportunity entails being responsible for the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects. The role involves working closely with the project manager to perform research, development, calculations, design, and delivery, applying engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria for projects of various sizes and complexities.
As a member of the team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of diverse projects for HNTB’s clients, potentially mentoring junior staff and providing technical guidance.
Responsibilities include:
Completing assigned work within scheduled hours.
Developing project specifications and discipline-specific engineering elements.
Coordinating with project team members and providing technical guidance.
Performing quality control reviews and assisting with project planning and scheduling.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience, or
Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or
PhD with 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred skills and certifications:
Master’s degree in Engineering and Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
Experience with load rating of bridges, bridge codes, and AASHTOWare BrR software.
Experience with 3D Finite Element Analysis software such as CSiBridge, MIDAS Civil, or LARSA 4D.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, and AutoCAD.
Understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
Ability to manage time effectively and communicate project needs proactively.
Additional information: Location: New York, NY
Pay range: $81,339.98 - $159,030.08, dependent on qualifications and experience.
