Installation & Integration: Oversee and participate in the technical installation of AV equipment, including rack fabrication, pulling and terminating various cables (Cat5, fiber, etc.), and mounting equipment like projectors, screens, and speakers.

Configuration & Commissioning: Configure and calibrate AV equipment, including digital signal processors (DSPs), control systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC), and video conferencing tools to ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, diagnose complex technical issues, and execute repairs on existing AV, video conferencing, and streaming systems, often under pressure during live events.

Project Management & Leadership: Manage AV projects from start to finish, coordinate with contractors, vendors, and clients, and provide work direction or mentorship to junior technicians.

Technical Support & Training: Provide high-level technical support, create user guides, and train end-users and support staff on the proper operation and care of AV technology. Develop and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies that company, and related manufacturers offer (i.e. AMX, Biamp, Crestron, Extron, etc).

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience: Typically requires 5+ years of hands‑on experience in the AV industry, with a strong background in system integration, installation, and commissioning.

Technical Knowledge: In‑depth understanding of AV signal flow, signal types, connector types, and proper termination techniques. Proficiency with major AV control and automation systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX) and audio DSPs (e.g., QSC, Biamp). Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs) as they relate to networked AV systems.

Software Proficiency: Skilled in using design software like AutoCAD, and possibly Bluebeam and Adobe Creative Suite.

Problem‑Solving: Excellent diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities to quickly address complex technical issue.
