What you will do

Works under a Transportation Team Leader in the development of roadway design projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Works closely with the other design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects that contribute to the growth and safety of Texas roadways Manages transportation projects or tasks in support of business needs Assists in managing the workload of design staff including other Engineers, EIT's, and technical staff Assists in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules Reviews transportation designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency Reports on project progress Collaborates with clients and other consultants Works with the Transportation Team Leader and Operations Manager in business development activities

What you will need

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET‑accredited equivalent A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil, public works or transportation project delivery, with at least 6 years post‑PE License preferred Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) experience Professional Engineer (PE) License in Florida Ability to lead a project and supervise technical staff Demonstrated ability to design and review in MicroStation Ability to design, oversee and review roadway projects for FDOT and local municipalities Manage multiple projects Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Positive attitude, self‑directed, team player, high character with focus on quality, integrity and success Flexible on location and hours
