We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Automation System Technician to join our team in Bartlett, IL, 60103. In this role, you will play a crucial part in building and installing our systems, ensuring smooth operations and optimal performance. Assemble components of a machine or multi‑station system according to assembly drawings, manuals, sketches, and verbal instructions Test, troubleshoot, and debug systems for successful runoff with customers Fabricate or modify critical machine components as required to complete the system build, and consult with engineering when changes are major or of a critical nature Redline changes to detail/assembly drawings, electrical, and pneumatic schematics Provide status updates to Build Teams Leads on assigned projects Ensure parts are on hand, drawings are ready, and customer specifications are met Follow work instructions and maintain checklists Move equipment using rigging and a forklift Solve problems and challenges that arise in the build process Willing and able to travel up to 15% of the time Qualifications
Proven experience as a System Technician or machine builder Fanatical about safety and quality Strong understanding of power tools, hand tools, and schematics with troubleshooting techniques Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Physical Requirements
Contribute 45 hours on average per week Able to work in an office and manufacturing floor environment where a computer, telephone, machines, and other equipment are used as needed to perform duties Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand, and move from one area to another Regularly required to work in constricted parts of machine cells Constant and repeated use of the keyboard and mouse Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift, and move up to 50 lbs Proficiencies
