Our client is seeking a
Team Lead / Project Engineer
with experience in civil engineering to work on regional land development projects. Responsibilities include infrastructure design and construction document preparation for roads, storm drainage, stormwater management facilities, utilities (water and sewer), and sediment and erosion control measures. The role involves design and project management within a team environment. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate with team members, clients, and review agencies. Perform civil site/land development design, permitting, and construction observation for various projects. Design land development projects using Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D. Prepare technical design calculations for storm drainage, water systems, BMPs, detention systems, sanitary sewer, erosion control, etc. Mentor junior team members. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for conformance. Conduct preliminary engineering evaluations and cost estimates. Assist with project and staff scheduling. Serve as a point of contact for clients, agencies, and contractors. Attend meetings and perform site visits, preparing reports. Coordinate field testing activities. Build strong team relationships. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology. 5+ years of civil engineering design and project management experience. PE licensure or ability to obtain within 3 months (North Carolina preferred). Advanced skills in Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D (2015 or newer), Hydraflow, HydroCAD, WaterCAD. Excellent communication skills. Desire to learn and work in a fast-paced team environment. Additional Details:
