Responsibilities Walter P Moore seeks a well-prepared graduate from a top engineering school to join our Construction Engineering Services team within the Structures Group. The role involves working on projects for contractors, steel fabricators, and erectors, supporting project managers by analyzing and validating structures at various construction stages, developing construction sequences for complex structures, designing temporary structures, and steel connection design. Candidates should have strong computer analysis skills and coursework in steel design.
As a graduate engineer, you will participate in project design teams across various architectural projects, including commercial, sports, aviation, healthcare, education, and cultural buildings. You will also have the opportunity to engage in our staff development program, MOORELearning.
Qualifications
Master's in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural
EIT certification
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Tekla and Building Information Modeling (BIM) preferred
Strength in steel design, connection design, and structural analysis
SAP 2000 modeling experience
Work experience or internships with contractors, steel fabricators, or erectors preferred
