We are seeking a full-time Instrumentation Specialist to perform repairs and maintenance on laboratory equipment at our client's pharmaceutical facilities. If you enjoy working on the go, have a passion for quality work, and possess a strong laboratory instrumentation background, this position may be for you! The Instrumentation Specialist reports directly to the Team Lead, Team Manager, or Director. This is a non-exempt position. Up to fifty percent travel may be required, though it is not currently anticipated. Expectations:

The Instrumentation Specialist provides high-level instrumentation field services for clients, including calibration, maintenance, project services, and some consulting support. They may also support or develop technical training. The role involves onsite process and analytical services related to startup projects, installations, and long-term contracts, ensuring PCI values of honesty, integrity, pride, accountability, teamwork, and commitment are upheld. Responsibilities/Assignments:

Perform complex repairs, calibrations, qualifications, and preventive maintenance with accurate GxP documentation, following PCI or client policies and procedures safely. Provide guidance and effective solutions to clients and PCI technical resources. Ensure proper handling and maintenance of PCI and client-owned equipment, and train others accordingly. Develop client quotes and proposals. Identify scope changes, communicate with clients, and process scope change requests with proper documentation, ensuring accurate time coding and billing. Assess project safety concerns and ensure compliance with safety requirements. Analyze client environments to develop effective solutions and build strong client relationships for successful execution. Lead projects and serve as 'Account Manager' for select clients based on business needs. Understand and implement GMP and compliance practices related to instrumentation. Manage resource scheduling, client accounts, and maintain project files. Develop instrument requirements and procure instruments for clients. Oversee equipment services and procurement, collaborating with third-party technical services. Skills Required:

Extensive knowledge of instrumentation, equipment, and calibrations in manufacturing, utilities, and laboratory environments. Proficiency with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). High attention to detail and strong written communication skills. Knowledge of electrical panels and safety practices. Excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence others. Understanding of business, financial issues, and P&L implications. Recognition as a technical expert, providing advice and training, with knowledge of FDA, GMP, GLP, and NIST traceability. Active involvement in professional organizations (e.g., ISPE, ASQ, PDA). Ability to interpret proposals and coordinate activities. Strong troubleshooting skills for instrumentation and controls. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Understanding of validation principles and calibration practices. Capability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment such as incubators, centrifuges, balances, refrigerators, freezers, chromatography systems, spectrophotometers, and others. Depending on client needs, familiarity with RT-PCR, bio analyzers, gel imagers, scintillation counters, cytometers, histology equipment, and liquid automation systems. Experience & Education:

A two- or four-year degree in Engineering, Management, Life Sciences, or related fields, or equivalent military training, plus four or more years of instrumentation experience in the pharmaceutical or quality industry, or equivalent education and experience.
