Job Shift : 1st Description We are looking for highly skilledElectriciansto join our Charlotte team!! Job Summary: The Industrial Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an industrial environment. This role involves working with high-voltage systems, motor controls, power distribution, and industrial automation, while ensuring all work is performed in compliance with national and local electrical codes and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and industrial equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in motors, control panels, PLCs, and variable frequency drives (VFDs). Interpret and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer manuals. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and components. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair. Install conduit, cable trays, and raceways in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Collaborate with engineers, maintenance staff, and other trades to ensure optimal system performance. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed. Comply with all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout procedures. Listen, follow directions, and complete assigned work Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician License (State-issued). High school diploma or GED; technical training in electrical systems preferred. Minimum 4 years of industrial electrical experience. Strong understanding of 3-phase systems, transformers, switchgear, and industrial control systems. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, megohmmeters). Ability to read and interpret complex electrical blueprints and technical documents. Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and industrial automation systems. Familiarity with NFPA 70E standards and arc flash safety. Knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, and relay logic. Welding or fabrication skills are a plus but not required. Previous work in a manufacturing, refinery, or heavy industrial environment.
