Responsibilities

Directs the operation of shift production, including checking formulas, assigning work tasks, monitoring procedures and schedules to ensure adherence to standards. Demonstrates competency for all on-the-job activities that may affect product safety, legality and/or quality. Directs and instructs production technicians and outsourced labor in the care and safe operation of equipment; monitors employee use of equipment. Reviews records and procedures to ensure proper use of time and materials; performs continuous inspections of the product to ensure quality standards are met. Ensures that all equipment is in good operating condition. Promotes positive employee relations and interdepartmental communication and cooperation. Maintains a safe working environment through enforcement of safety policies and procedures, including inspections and periodic safety meetings. Plans and adjusts work assignments to cover all phases of production. May be responsible for operating the facility metal detector(s); must be fully trained and certified for this responsibility. Ensures employee compliance with work rules; assists with employee training. Participates in disciplinary processes as necessary and makes recommendations on disciplinary actions. Maintains cleanliness of the work area; ensures compliance with company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.). Performs other duties deemed integral by management, including adherence to work schedules and attendance policies. Qualifications

Two (2) or more years of experience in all areas of plant production work. High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of AIB Bakery Science Residence Program. Completion of a formal management skills training program. Benefits & Compensation
