Control Technician – Tesla
We are seeking a skilled Control Technician to join our team at Tesla. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical and electrical control, and vision systems. This role involves hands‑on troubleshooting and continuous improvement of equipment and processes to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Responsibilities
Utilize programming skills to update and modify control systems for enhanced equipment functionality. Investigate and implement countermeasures to enhance Cpk and product yield. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to diagnose and resolve equipment issues and implement upgrades. Understand the principles of vision systems and optimize process to verify product quality. Consult manuals, read and interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics. Work with electronic control systems including microprocessors, sensors, and final control elements used in automated processes. Ensure compliance with safety standards and practices. Qualifications
3-5 years of experience on process automation and/or electromechanical systems; ability to perform skilled termination of control devices. Ability to read and interpret PLC code, HMI, and vision system. Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems from 24 VDC to 480 VAC. Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and P&ID drawings; ability to read and interpret electrical prints and schematics. Ability to work in high elevation up to 80 ft. and ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly. Strong knowledge in troubleshooting of motor controls, variable frequency drives, programmable controllers and other electronic components. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Benefits
