Job Summary The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance team responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all plant equipment and facilities to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. This role requires a strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, as well as proven leadership in guiding a multi‑craft maintenance team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.

Lead, train, and mentor maintenance technicians in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance procedures.

Plan, prioritize, and assign work orders based on production needs and maintenance schedules.

Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) programs and ensure timely completion to minimize unplanned downtime.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC‑controlled systems.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support equipment installation, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment history in the CMMS system.

Enforce safety protocols and support a proactive safety culture within the maintenance department.

Coordinate outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects as needed.

Monitor department KPIs such as equipment uptime, response time, and maintenance costs, and recommend process improvements.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

5 years of industrial maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.

Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs (Allen‑Bradley preferred), motors, drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Proficiency with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work in industrial environments for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot or cold conditions as needed. May require occasional weekend, holiday, or on‑call availability.
