Design complete mechanical HVAC systems for building projects. Evaluate existing conditions and conduct project measure-ups. Collaborate with clients to define project goals and resources. Perform code analysis and ensure design compliance. Develop project in regard to engineering scope, budget, and schedule. Create and coordinate Revit models using existing documentation. Prepare engineering contract documents and calculations using CADD and HVAC design software. Select appropriate materials, equipment, and components. Perform technical and coordination checking of project documents. Develop project specifications and supporting documentation. Perform quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates. Stay current with mechanical codes and standards. Review submittals during construction and conduct site visits to ensure compliance with design documents. Requirements

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer with at least 7 years of experience in building design within a professional office environment. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Revit, experience in HVAC design, and a background in project or team management. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively to prepare clear, complete, and accurate drawings, specifications and other project documents utilizing knowledge of engineering drafting practices, BIM technology, building materials, equipment, construction technology, and mathematics. We are looking for team members with the following minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical (HVAC) design working in the A/E industry. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for HVAC design. EIT certification required; NYS PE license preferred or active participation in a licensure development program. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of the International Building Code. Experience in Project Management or discipline/team leadership preferred. U.S. Citizenship required due to potential access to classified information. Seniority level
