We are seeking an
Analytical Chemist
to join our team at our
Nederland, Texas
location. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with
Gas Chromatography (GC), Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), and Ion Chromatography (IC for anions) . This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, method-driven, and passionate about delivering reliable analytical results. Responsibilities
Analyze environmental and industrial samples using
GC, GC/MS, and IC (anions) . Prepare and process samples in accordance with
EPA and NELAC methods . Maintain calibration curves, validate methods, and ensure data accuracy. Perform routine instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance checks. Review and interpret data, ensuring adherence to
QA/QC protocols . Collaborate with the QA team, lab managers, and project staff to meet client and regulatory requirements. Contribute to method development and continuous lab improvements. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related discipline . 2–5+ years of experience
with
GC, GC/MS, and IC instrumentation
in an analytical laboratory setting. Familiarity with
EPA methods, QA/QC protocols, and regulatory testing . Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Knowledge of
LIMS systems and EDD formats
