Mechanical Engineering Co-Op - Spring 2026 Here at Entegris, we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world, and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue the mission. Our site in Bedford, MA is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.
Responsibilities
The Mechanical Engineering Co-Op is responsible for working side by side with engineers to tackle day-to-day engineering tasks. This includes performing invaluable testing and data collection.
The co-op will be responsible for developing prototype test fixtures, test equipment, and production fixtures. This will involve modeling designs in CAD software, generating drawings, coordinating fabrication, testing, and documentation.
Design and model various fixtures and test equipment in CAD software
Fabricate fixtures and test equipment
Manage small-scale projects
Perform high tech testing under Engineer supervision
Collect data and generate reports
Fabricate and test prototypes
What We Seek (Qualifications)
Must have experience with CAD software (Solidworks)
Understanding of general engineering practices
Ability to collect data, analyze and prepare reports
Previous Engineering Co-Op or internship is a plus
Experience creating engineering drawings is a plus
Machining and Fabrication experience (CNC/Milling/Lathe/3D printing/etc.) is a plus
Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) is a plus
Solidworks CSWA/CSWP Certification is a plus
Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year
Mechanical Engineering
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of December 2025 or later.
Eligibility
Must be a currently enrolled student
Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June.
Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: General physical requirements for working in a lab and operations.
