Postdoctoral Fellow – Experimental Therapeutics A Postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Experimental Therapeutics at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. The role reports to Dr. Rugang Zhang, Chair of the Department. The focus is on developing precision therapeutic strategies for epithelial ovarian cancer and studying the effects of tissue aging and cellular senescence on cancer development and treatment response.

Responsibilities

Conduct hands‑on experiments to develop novel mechanism‑guided precision therapeutic strategies in epithelial ovarian cancer.

Study the role and mechanisms of tissue aging and cellular senescence in cancer development and therapy response.

Perform data analysis and prepare manuscripts.

Attend lab meetings, journal clubs, and research seminars.

Ensure compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

PhD in cancer biology, molecular biology, genetics, immunology, or a related field.

Less than 2 years of postdoctoral experience.

Experience with rodent studies.

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

Track record of publications and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Position Information Salary: $64,000–$76,000 per year (dependent on experience). The position is full‑time and offers benefits including medical, dental, paid time off, retirement, tuition benefits, educational opportunities, and recognition. Off‑site work arrangements may be approved subject to business needs and performance.
