You’ll troubleshoot everything from shoddy air conditioning to vehicle electrical systems, conducting preventive maintenance and structural repairs along the way. We are looking for a mechanic to work swing shift from Monday - Friday: Noon - 8:30 PM. Responsibilities

Source and remediate mechanical problems and malfunction codes that are identified in the vehicle's mechanical systems, electrical system, and electronic systems Engaging in learning opportunities to update job knowledge and technical skills Team up with managers and other mechanics to diagnose and service cars coming in for auto repairs Inspect, test drive, and perform diagnostic tests to determine vehicle problems, parts needed for repairs, and necessary work Encourage and facilitate preventive maintenance work such as oil changes, air conditioning service, flushing, brake replacement, tire rotation, and more Maintain accurate customer records for vehicles’ repairs, parts, maintenance histories, and more Diagnose issues with semi-tractors using a computer and performing PM services and minor repairs to our mostly Detroit engine fleet Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty or worn-out parts, such as brakes, transmissions, engines, and cooling systems Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve complex mechanical problems Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of the truck fleet Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to efficiently complete repair jobs Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area Stay updated on industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices in diesel truck maintenance Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent required An associate's degree from a vocational or technical school and/or ASE certification are a plus Must be an effective communicator who maintains a solid work ethic Strong manual dexterity and proficiency with hand tools and other repair shop equipment is necessary A valid driver’s license is necessary Compensation

$25 - $35 hourly
