ROGER LEÓN, DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT Qualifications and Requirements

Appropriate New Jersey Department of Education Standard Certificate or eligible for an Emergency license. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, unless otherwise specified. Current New Jersey registered professional nurse license issued by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing. Preferred minimum of five (5) years successful experience as a registered nurse. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish/Portuguese/French Creole are a plus. Basic Functions and Responsibilities

Develops health records for each student, including immunization data and health history. Performs routine screenings and refers students to appropriate health professionals when deviations are found. Interprets health findings to students, parents, and staff to promote health awareness and responsibility. Provides emergency medical care and arranges follow-up care. Counsels parents, teachers, and students on health issues and disease symptoms. Conducts mandated health screenings and reviews immunization records annually. Contributes to health education programs and collaborates with community agencies. Dispenses medications according to guidelines and administers treatments as prescribed. Serves on school committees and performs related nursing duties as assigned. Additional Details

$67,000 - $111,625 (plus $3,000 stipend) for the 2025-2026 school year Employment Period:
