Luminis Health . Position Objective
Assists department leadership with the coordination of Central Sterile Services to include adequate staffing, technical & leadership support to staff, students and volunteers. Essential Functions
Coordinates the daily activities of the department to include scheduling, and work assignments. Monitors the case cart assembly process to ensure accurate pulling of supplies and instrumentation per surgeon specific pick tickets to include: timely assembly and delivery, accurate identification of surgeon and patient; accurate and timely processing of returns and filling of supply orders. Maintains adequate inventory of non-stock items to support daily operations of the Central Sterile department. Works in conjunction with Materials Management to resolve issues with disposable inventory to support OR cases; participates in physical inventories. Assembles, and sterilizes all instruments, instrument trays, utensils and packs, and provides technical assistance to resolve instrument tray issues in relation to decontamination and sterilization. Performs distribution functions as it relates to case carts and sterile instrumentation, as well as maintain supervision over assembling and sterilizing all instrument trays, and utensils according to established procedures and principles of aseptic technique. Education/Experience Requirements
HS Diploma/equivalent Two years experience as sterile processing technician. Required License/Certification
CRCST Two years of experience in a sterile processing or surgical services environment. Pay Range
