Bowman Consulting invites you to join our team as a Transportation Construction Inspector in Lincoln, NE. Purpose

Perform bridge and highway inspections to ensure compliance with codes and regulations. Responsibilities

Perform inspections for transportation construction projects to ensure they are completed in accordance with plans, specifications and in compliance with codes and regulations. Document project assignments accurately. Prepare inspection and contractor performance reports as needed for project records. Maintain project documents and files. Perform other duties assigned. Liaise with project managers concerning pertinent findings of inspections. Work under moderate supervision, receiving direction on moderately complex assignments. Manage multiple time-sensitive tasks effectively. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of one (1) year of DOT experience as a Technical Assistant 2 (TA-2) or higher; or two (2) years minimum of transportation, highway, or bridge construction inspection experience; or four (4) years minimum of highway or bridge construction, non-highway or bridge inspection, or highway or bridge design experience. NICET certification a plus. DOT Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification a plus. NECEPT Bituminous Field Certification a plus. Valid state driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle check or reliable transportation to/from the office and/or project site. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Primarily outdoor work with varying temperatures, noise, potential hazards. Mobility required: walking, bending, crawling, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and use of PPE.
