Job Description Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies Company, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician B (Weekend Shift-Days) to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas. The Manufacturing Technician will join an exceptional cross‑functional team of engineers and technicians to fabricate components and assemble them into the most advanced solid rocket systems in the world. Aerojet‑Rocketdyne is an industry‑leading supplier of missile components to the government for use in national defense. This is a developing support‑level position for mixing and processing of energetics for casting.

The position will involve functions such as cleaning and assembling equipment, cleaning tools, parts, and work area, and operating machinery. The technician will record and maintain records for manufactured products. They must work safely while producing a high‑quality product and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

The technician works under close supervision and receives detailed instructions, performing routine and repetitive duties within the manufacturing operations area. They apply general manufacturing knowledge to basic problems to come up with logical solutions.

Essential Functions

Full‑scale propellant mixing – Prepares materials and performs full‑scale mixing for all production programs, confirming acceptable weights prior to releasing the materials to casting operations. Responsible for requisitioning and organizing the materials and processing required for the mix, as well as cleaning and maintaining full‑scale mix equipment.

Mathematical calculations – Perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to create acceptable mixes for casting, and use process data to fill out manufacturing data sheets.

Grinding – Assemble grinders and grind materials for full‑scale propellant mixes and weigh material bins to correct weight for propellant mixing. Responsible for disassembly, cleaning, and re‑assembly of full‑scale grinding equipment.

Other duties as assigned – e.g., AP prep for grinding, bowl plugging for mixing prototype motor casting, development sample preparation, and support of new production initiatives and schedules.

Willing and available to work other shifts or overtime as needed to meet production schedules.

Able to work from elevated platforms, ascend ladders, and transport 35 lbs. repeatedly.

Medically cleared to wear a respirator and operate powered industrial vehicle (and obtain company‑issued license as appropriate).

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of prior related experience, or 2 years post‑secondary/Associate Degree with 0–2 years related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills

Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to follow safety practices.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the work team and those contacted in the course of work.

Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately and quickly.

Ability to work with management, supervisor, or lead personnel to prioritize work and meet critical deadlines.
