Job Type: Full-time.
Role Overview: Independently performs on-site diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer agricultural, commercial, and turf equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Field Service Manager.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology.
Perform diagnostics and repairs in the field as required.
Maintain accurate inventory of parts kept in stock on the service vehicle.
Mentor Service Technician and Apprentice Technicians.
Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities in the area of responsibility.
Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and for timely submittal of information.
May participate in Service EDUCATE training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment required to perform job responsibilities.
Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.

Physical Demands Talking and hearing. In addition, this position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs. The employee is constantly required to use both hands/arms to drive, operate equipment, and secure loads.
Requirements
4+ years of experience performing service repairs.
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to perform complex repairs and required maintenance using special tools.
Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment.
Ability to use computers, vehicles, and equipment.
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
Advanced or Master Service Technician certification preferred.
Forklift certification preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid Driver’s License required.
