Job Title: Process Engineer – Molding, Blow Molding, or Compression Molding
Company:
Our client is a multi-location manufacturer of proprietary polymer molded products, experiencing significant growth. They are seeking a Process Engineer to lead process improvement activities. Responsibilities:
Optimize yield and minimize scrap in molding, fixtures, and assembly processes from design to product launch. Manage projects to refine SOPs for existing products and optimize processing parameters. Hands-on optimization of materials processing. Ensure successful introduction of new injection molded products and tooling, including SOP creation. Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to implement process standards and safety improvements. Lead continuous improvement and process refinement efforts. Qualifications:
BS in Mechanical, Plastics Engineering, or related technical field preferred; extensive molding experience may be considered. Minimum of 2 years' experience in Process Engineering within manufacturing of injection, blow, or compression molded products. Strong processing and troubleshooting skills, experience with new tool setup, and managing first shots to production. Experience creating SOPs, SWIs, BOMs, and familiarity with lean manufacturing, quality control, Six Sigma. Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
