We are looking for talented inspectors to manage roadway and bridge projects across the Bristol area, including VDOT, locality and design‑build assignments. Responsibilities

Perform daily field inspections to ensure contractor compliance with contract documents. Prepare daily and weekly reports on work accomplished and deficiencies. Conduct material testing, maintain testing logs, and review periodic pay estimates. Track daily quantities, complete as‑built drawings, and generate sketches for engineering change requests. Review contractor schedules, including initial CPM and monthly updates. Communicate effectively with Engineer, Owner and field staff, maintaining active rapport throughout construction. Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years of field construction inspection experience in roadway, bridge, utility or pavement rehabilitation projects. Demonstrated inspection and management experience with roadway and bridge construction, utility construction, and related pavement rehabilitation projects. Experience coordinating inspection duties with multiple simultaneously operating crews. Experience tracking daily quantities, completing daily inspection reports, performing monthly estimates and as‑built drawings. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. High School Diploma or State Equivalency Certificate; Bachelor’s Degree or advanced certificate desirable. Strong communication, plan and specification reading, writing and drawing skills. Basic computer skills (Word & Excel) desirable. Willing to work nights and overtime as required. Additional Training and Certifications

VDOT materials certifications (Asphalt, Concrete, Soils & Aggregate, Pavement Marking) required. ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification desired. Erosion & Sediment control certification (DCR Inspector’s Certification) and Intermediate Work Zone Safety/ATSSA TCS desired. Basic computer skills (Word & Excel) are desirable. Benefits
