Medical Laboratory Scientist I

$27.28 - $45.00 per hour Salary offers are based on skills, training, experience, education, certifications, market, and organizational factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonuses. Benefits:
We offer comprehensive benefits to support employees and their families, including: Vacation and Health/Flex Time (for part-time employees scheduled at least 20 hours/week) 6 Holidays plus 1 “MyDay” off (if scheduled to work 20+ hours/week) 401(k) pre-tax and ROTH IRA with company match up to 5% after 12 months Annual incentive plans Employee stock purchase plan Education assistance through MyQuest for Education Annual no-cost health assessment program BluePrint for Wellness Responsibilities: Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting, and record keeping Maintain records demonstrating proficiency testing samples are tested similarly to patient specimens Analyze specimens using approved procedures Review and release test results Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines Follow policies and procedures when test systems are outside acceptable performance levels Identify and correct problems affecting test performance or report immediately to senior technologist or supervisor Qualifications: Education: BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology; or Associates degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology; or previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493 Work Experience: 1 year of clinical experience (high complexity testing) preferred Certifications: ASCP Certification preferred Quest Diagnostics values our service members and encourages veterans to apply.
