– As a Gensler Architect with our Healthcare team in Florida (Miami and Tampa offices), you will combine creativity and technical knowledge with business understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. We are collaborative, client-focused, and committed to design experience, resilience, and social purpose. Documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.) Coordinate with the project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants on healthcare projects (medical office buildings, hospitals, outpatient clinics, surgery centers, community health centers, etc.) Manage AHCA communication and stage approvals Resolve complex technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative, technically sound, constructible solutions Direct production of drawings, specifications, and construction administration tasks Deliver documents with design intent and high technical quality Contribute to the maintenance and oversight of the project manual and specifications Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews Process submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFIs Interface with building and permitting officials during permitting and construction phases Participate in and contribute to the project’s financial performance Review and contribute to proposals and contracts with the Project Manager Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships Collaborate with, mentor, and support team members Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs Your Qualifications
Experience working within AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) regulations to deliver projects in Florida is preferred Manage AHCA communication and stage approvals Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school 10+ years of related experience on healthcare projects, from feasibility studies and planning to schematic design and construction documents Experience delivering healthcare buildings is required Understanding of healthcare regulations and codes (FGI, FBC, NFPA) Expertise with building codes, standards, and structures; able to lead and guide teams with confidence Flexibility to manage concurrent projects in various development stages Quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment Collaborative and team-conscious Ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new ones through successful project delivery Registered / Licensed Architect (RA) Revit proficiency required LEED AP (or in process) preferred Experience developing high-performance, resilient building projects is preferred Commitment to sustainability; portfolios ideally include built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero certifications; to be discussed in interview Life at Gensler
