We are looking for Full‑time Behavioral Health Associates who will provide routine mental health/psychiatric nursing care for inpatients and partial hospitalization patients under RN supervision. Responsibilities include observation, patient education, ADL assistance, vital sign monitoring, nutrition intake monitoring, documentation, restraint/seclusion participation, unit code response, and training new staff. Key Functions
Assist patients to achieve greater independence. Contribute to the formulation and revision of treatment plans. Monitor behavioral improvements and reinforce positive behaviors. Encourage participation in interpersonal and therapeutic activities. Reinforce skills learned from therapists, physicians, and RNs to promote physical and mental wellness. Order and inventory medical supplies and forms appropriately. Monitor and document patient fluid and nutritional intake. Assist each patient with Activities of Daily Living. Provide personal and belongings searches. Assist with restocking supplies, making copies, and filing documents in unit binders and patients’ charts. Make patient rounds every 15 minutes, maintaining line of sight or 1:1 observation as ordered and documenting findings. Participate in restraint/seclusion as assigned. Participate in unit codes to evacuate patients for safety per SHH policies. Act as trainer/mentor for new employees. Qualifications
High School diploma or GED; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Psychology or a healthcare field preferred. CPR or Healthcare Provider certification. At least one year of experience in behavioral health. Benefits
