Job Summary And Responsibilities
As our
Behavioral Health Nurse
at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, you will help individuals facing mental health challenges access compassionate and effective care so they can achieve lasting recovery and well‑being. Every day you will provide direct patient care, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans. You will be expected to demonstrate strong clinical skills, empathy, and a commitment to patient‑centered care. To thrive in this role, you must have a passion for helping others.
Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and treatment interventions.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
Job Requirements
Unencumbered license to practice in the State of Arkansas
6 months of acute care experience is required (new graduates or nurses who have never worked in an acute care setting are hired through our residency training program)
Previous behavioral health experience preferred, but not required
BLS through the American Heart Association is required
