Job Description We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented professionals to join our team as Data Center QAQC Engineers (QAQC-E). The QAQC-E will play a critical role in safeguarding project timelines and budgets by embedding quality assurance early in the supply chain and construction phases. In mission-critical environments like data centers, the QAQC-E ensures that all electrical and mechanical equipment meets required specifications and is inspected and installed correctly before commissioning. This role requires a strong understanding of complex equipment systems and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Activities will include, but are not limited to, inspecting and validating key equipment such as generators, transformers, switchgear, medium voltage gear, UPS systems, HVAC units, and Building Management Systems (BMS), reviewing pre-installation checks, pre-energization testing, and overseeing the timely delivery and installation of electrical and mechanical components.
This role involves supporting data center construction/commissioning activities, so working hours may include nights and/or weekends. This is an onsite, client-facing role that may require approximately 90% or more travel to various client locations.
Education Bachelor's or associate degree in engineering, construction management, supply chain & logistics or a related discipline, OR
One year of experience in the inspection, validation, and quality control of mechanical and/or electrical systems, with a focus on ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards and schedules in construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
Review design specifications and construction plans to ensure all quality and compliance requirements are identified and integrated.
Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of equipment to confirm compliance with project specifications before commissioning begins.
Perform on-site inspections of mechanical and electrical equipment to verify that materials, systems, and components meet all required standards.
Conduct pre-installation checks and tests, ensuring any non-conformities are documented & corrected before installation.
Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and contractors to ensure that the supply chain and construction processes are aligned with quality assurance standards.
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of inspections, tests, and quality reports, communicating findings to the project team.
Implement and enforce relevant industry codes, regulations, and standards across all stages of the project.
Participate in quality audits and help identify potential risks or areas for improvement to maintain high standards of project execution.

Physical Demands
Frequently manipulating, moving, or grasping small parts, devices, or tools.
Frequently required to remain in a stationary position.
Frequently moving through office areas, critical facilities and other environments, including tight and confined spaces.
Exposure to low/high temperatures and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
Working and walking on different types of terrain on active construction sites (e.g., concrete flooring, gravel, unpaved roads).
Frequently ascending and descending stairs and ladders to access equipment.
Frequently positioning oneself under or over equipment.
Frequently moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in construction, especially for mission-critical environments like data centers.
Experience with quality assurance and control procedures, including inspections, testing, and compliance verification.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and standards related to equipment installation.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues early.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and contractors.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to ensuring top-quality outcomes at every phase of the project.
Experience Levels
Entry-Level: 0-1 years of experience in QAQC or a related field, with exposure to mechanical and electrical systems in construction projects.
Mid-Level: 2-5 years of experience in QAQC, with the ability to manage equipment inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications in mission-critical environments.
Experienced-Level: 6+ years of experience in QAQC for complex facilities, with strong leadership skills and expertise in managing quality assurance across large-scale projects.
Prerequisites for Employment
