Field Service Technician I Join Caterpillar Inc. as a Field Service Technician I – a fantastic opportunity to work with SPM Oil & Gas, a Caterpillar company that provides engineering and service solutions to customers worldwide.

Job Summary SPM Oil & Gas currently has an opening for a Field Service Technician. The Field Service Technician I at SPM Oil & Gas will deliver, install, troubleshoot, test and repair pressure control equipment at customer locations. This is an entry‑level position with routine tasks that are closely supervised.

Additional Information

Pay starts at $20.85 and can be adjusted with experience.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM. 24/7 on‑call, rotating weekend on‑call schedule.

Overtime based on business need.

Company service trucks will be assigned based on qualifications and business needs.

Relocation is not offered for this position.

What You Will Do

Provide engineering solutions and superior customer service.

Demonstrate core values of SPM Oil & Gas at all times.

Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation.

Advocate a safety culture and maintain a high degree of integrity.

Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability and a solid work ethic.

Observe the preparation and process of creating a JSA and POWRA and perform all duties safely per SPM Oil and Gas SHE policies.

Adhere to and exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change.

Assist Field Service Technicians in safe installation, removal, repair and service of equipment on a drilling rig or well site.

Aim to provide superior customer service to all internal and external customers.

Maintain company supplied assets and other equipment per company policy.

Prepare accurate field service and sales orders.

Represent SPM Oil and Gas in field service and sales.

Maintain a professional appearance and work attitude at all times.

Assist in pre‑check of all equipment and processes before starting the job.

Work in a team setting.

Be available on a 24‑hour call to respond to customer needs.

Communicate effectively, both verbal and written.

Drive a company‑issued vehicle.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Have

One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Have a clean driving record: no more than 2 moving violations within the last 12 months, and no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.

Physical Demands

Frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms.

Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.

Work Environment

Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions.

Noise Level: moderate, occasionally severe.

Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including steel‑toed safety shoes and safety glasses.

Summary Pay Range $20.85 - $27.95
