Vehicle Integration Technician (Avionic Specialty) Vehicle Integration Technicians are responsible for the efficient/successful assembly and test of the Alpha Launch Vehicle. This requires the ability to intuitively understand the intention behind design decisions and execute assembly based on those intentions. A strong background in production or maintenance of complex avionics systems such as in aviation is required. The role also includes travel to the launch site in order to support integrated vehicle and launch pad operations. This role is located in Briggs, TX.

Responsibilities

Follow complex assembly procedures and work instructions

Execute integration processes

Stage, set up, assemble, test and install flight hardware including installation of cable harnessing

Familiarization with working in ESD environments

Utilize necessary tooling and fixturing

Follow complex planning instructions for assembly and integration for the assembly of all vehicle subsystems

Communicate effectively with engineers and teammates

Identify discrepancies between design and manufacture/assembly and resolve them

Support engineering in defining manufacturability, producibility and assembly of design using industry standard parts and products

Required Qualifications

Proven experience with complex assemblies, production in aviation including reading harness and wiring diagrams, routing/testing of harnessing on-vehicle, troubleshooting, repairing and visual inspections.

Two or more years of experience in one or more of the following fields:

Has worked with IPC/WHMA-A-620, MIL-DTL-22520, NASA-STD-8739, J-STD-001 or ANSI/ESD S20.20

Proficient in use of DMM, basic avionics hand tools, basic mechanical hand tools and precision measurement equipment.

Comfortable working within an evolving process

Flexibility regarding workflow and process

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey methodologies for assembly and troubleshooting

Willing to travel up to 40%

Desired

A&P License

Relevant military experience in fixed or rotor wing maintenance is highly desired

Two or more years of experience in one or more of the following fields:

Military Avionics/Electrician MOS

Army 15F, 15Y

Navy AT, ET

Marine 63 and 64 series

Airforce 2A6X6

Coast Guard AET

Rocket engines, turbomachinery or complex component assembly

Civilian/military aircraft engine experience

Experience working with oscilloscopes and Hi-pot testers
