The Master Industrial Electrician is a licensed expert responsible for overseeing, installing, maintaining, and repairing complex electrical systems in industrial facilities. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership, code compliance, and project oversight, ensuring that all electrical work meets safety standards and supports uninterrupted plant operations. Day to day
Plan, supervise, and execute electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in industrial environments. Interpret and review blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams for project planning. Install and maintain high-voltage systems, motor controls, switchgear, generators, PLCs, and industrial automation systems. Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA, and local regulations. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, control circuits, and machinery wiring. Oversee and train journeyman electricians, apprentices, and maintenance staff. Coordinate with engineers, plant managers, and contractors to meet project deadlines. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules. Advise management on system upgrades, energy efficiency improvements, and electrical safety measures. Serve as the final authority for electrical code compliance on industrial projects. What we require
Technical ability:
technical and mechanical skills necessary to read and understand blueprints and technical diagrams, then install or service various electrical systems Physical fitness and dexterity
– many jobs require certain levels of fitness due to the environment, including climbing ladders, working in small and confined spaces, or carrying equipment and materials Knowledge of National Electrical Code Detail oriented
– keen eye for safety standards and project designs, as well as execution Independence
– ability to work on assigned tasks with minimal supervision Reliability and Responsibility
