has an exciting opportunity for a
Mechanical Engineer
to join the
Electrical Wiring Systems Team
in
Concord, NC . The successful candidate will be responsible for automated and manual equipment, troubleshooting, and improvements. Working individually or as part of a manufacturing team, they will troubleshoot and improve existing automation, develop documentation packages, and provide training for process technicians and floor personnel. What Will You Do? Improve existing automation cells for increased uptime and efficiency. Use SolidWorks to design machine components to be built by the in-house tool shop. Redesign existing sections of automated equipment and install on the machines. Design new tooling for existing processes. Utilize tool room equipment to fabricate simple components when applicable. Use 3D scanning to reverse engineer components. Assist maintenance technicians in repairing automation equipment. Participate in cross-functional Kaizen improvement teams. Collaborate with the production team to achieve departmental goals. Perform other similar and related duties as required. Qualifications Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering Preferred Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar design software. Strong technical knowledge of automated equipment. Excellent mechanical skills. Methodical approach to problem solving and troubleshooting. Experience with PLC, thermoplastic injection molding, and robotics is beneficial. Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
