Job Description
As a
Manufacturing Technician II , you will implement all processes in production while strictly following cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and applicable regulations. You will have technical and administrative competence to organize and lead production activities and participate in departmental projects and quality working teams.
Responsibilities include assisting with the movement of Flexbumin between different stages of inspection and packaging within the value stream. You may act as line lead, ensuring the line operates smoothly and meets daily goals. You will document process activities on routers or in the electronic batch management system (EBM) and report to the Supervisor, Manufacturing.
How You Will Contribute
Participate in Continuous Improvement Teams
Support manufacturing operations
Lead Manufacturing Technicians I in daily tasks
Operate general production equipment (e.g., Downstream Automated Packaging {DAP} lines, forklifts, hoists)
Move pallets to different rooms within the value stream
Communicate and work cross‑functionally with other departments
Receive and distribute supplies into the production area
Follow cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and any other regulations
Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines
Perform daily cleaning of the production area to maintain GMP standards
Review and revise pertinent documentation as appropriate
Train new and existing employees/contractors on procedures
Communicate issues related to safety, quality, compliance and equipment to the manufacturing lead operator and supervisor
Possess good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
Be able to speak, read, write, and follow detailed written and oral instructions in English
Have knowledge of cGMP manufacturing
Be a self‑starter with a positive attitude and good time‑management skills
Remain professional at all times
Meet the deadlines of individual production tasks during shift
Follow the company’s safety and quality guidelines
What You Bring to Takeda
High school diploma or GED; 2+ years experience or associate degree or higher and 1+ years related work experience.
Important Considerations
Position requires a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing conditions of the facility.
Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for an extended period of time over a 12‑hour shift between rooms and across the site.
Must be able to walk within and between quality rooms and packaging rooms, as well as throughout the entire plant.
May require bending, twisting, reaching overhead, and/or squatting motions to perform certain tasks.
Repetitive motions with hands, wrists, turning head, bending at knees and waist.
20/20 near and distance vision (applies to roles performing visual inspection only) with or without glasses and/or contacts.
May not be colorblind (applies to roles performing visual inspection only).
Indoor working conditions.
Will work around moving equipment and machinery.
May be required to work in confined spaces/areas.
Some clean room and/or cool/hot storage conditions (applies to filling department only).
May be exposed to and must not be allergic to cephalosporin.
May require immunization before performing work within the manufacturing area.
May work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and protective clothing.
Will need to remove all makeup, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
May work in a cold, hot, or wet environment.
May work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers, and celite that may require respiratory protection.
Work multiple shifts, including weekends and holidays, as necessary to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
Must be able to work a 12‑hour shift (5:00 pm – 5:30 am), in a 2‑2‑3 rotation.
Must be able to work overtime as required.
Requires flexibility to work during off‑shift hours and/or conduct activities in support of different shifts as needed.
Compensation and Benefits USD $18.85 – $29.62 hourly wage (location‑based range). Worker type: Employee, Regular. Time type: Full time. Job exempt: No.
